Wedding hairstyles for short hair

After many years in hairdressing .... best thing to do is find a good hairdresser with plenty of time and patience, ask her/his opinion as they will have a pretty good idea of what will work.

From experience don't go for anything to out of the ordinary, stay with something that suits you and not what you 'think' a bride should look like, ask for a couple of trial sessions so you can spend some time discussing ideas and trying out styles. Take along any hair accessories you are wanting in your hair, including veil if possible so you can get a full picture of what it will look like.

What you may think will suit may not when in practice, so keep an open mind. just remember brides with short hair can look as glamorous as brides with long hair. As for flowers in your hair, if your florist is any good they will recommend which flowers work best in hair and that will not wilt.

If your not happy with what's been suggested, then say so, if not find another hairdresser until you find the style you do like. Just make sure your hair is in good condition!

How are you styling your hair for wedding day?

Has anyone come across any pictures of braided hair styles (as opposed to curled styles)?

My old roommate had an amazing hair style for her wedding day. It was a French braid that started at the nape of her neck and then continued in an inner spiral pattern around the back of her head. That's exactly the sort of thing I want for my own wedding, but I haven't seen anything like it since. How hard or easy is it to find a stylist who can do such a thing?

I am just curious if anyone has come across any pictures on the Net on the subject of wedding hair styles. I know that I want to wear my hair in an "updo" style.. but I don't know which way yet.

So.. how are you gals styling your hair?

The Hottest Hair Trends And The Sexiest Hairstyles For 2007

Author: David Maillie

Hair has become unequivocally important as it can literally make one look like a movie star or a has been from Hee Haw, which died out many years ago. It is big enough that it is a multi billion dollar industry and the average bill in a salon is approaching $100. In the big cities with a hot hairstylist like Jonathon in Beverly Hills prices can easily top $500 for a cut and style. Hair and hairstyle are also some of the most searched keywords on Google and the internet. So, its obvious that to millions of people it is vitally important to know what is in and what is out. Listed below are four of the hottest and sexiest styles that experts are predicting will rule through 2007 and beyond.

For this article we consulted with the expert hairstylists from top salons from NewYork City, Atlanta, Miami and, of course Los Angeles. As the famed hairstylist Jonathon from reality TV series Blow Out says, “your hair will make you or break you. Your hair can make you look like a super star and this is what I strive for with every client.” The hairstylists we consulted with had a lot to say and freely gave lots of pointers and interesting tips.

The short business cut. This style is actually equally popular with both men and women. You can see it on Hillary Clinton, Ellen Degeneres, and the first lady, Mrs. Bush. It is a simple, but elegant and all business hairdo. It is popular due to the fact that it tkes little upkeep to stay in place or quickly fix on a windy day. What you will be seeing as we head into 2007 and beyond is this short do will get shorter and more punk, messy. In some cases it may become almost shaved short. This variant will be slightly longer on top and coming to almost zero by the ears and back. As the females role in society and business grows so will the seriousness of her hair. Look for a marked increase in short, styled and very tight hairdo’s similar in part to many current male hairstyles.

The shaggy just sexed look. This look is just catching on and has been popularized on many of the current reality shows and other popular TV programming. This style is obviously longer than the short cut listed above and is purposely styled to look messy, punk and sexy at the same time. The secret to this style according to one hairstylist is to not wash the hair every day. Washing the hair too often will dry it out and make it lose its natural shape. Hair with proper moisture and oils is healthier and looks better. Depending on the length of hair desired for this style some stylists recommend using gels and others creams to style it and make it look just sexed. Wash your hair at night and once it's dry, apply your personal hairstyling products. Then go to sleep, wake up, and go. You may need to fuss with it a little, but this is the style and it is hot. Jonathons new product Dirt works well for this. This is a very under rated style that will become hotter as we head into 2007. Some male models have turned to a shorter version of this style as it is a definite headturner.

Long, sexy waves. Perms are way out of style, but the latest secret fashion trend in the hottest salons in NYC is salt spray and long sexy waves. Just as in the above hairstyle, you don’t wash the hair everyday as dirty hair is easier to manage. Get the hair damp and use salt water in a spray to bring out the wavy curls. Salt spray will do amazing things to your hair. According to the salons, everyone’s hair has some natural waves and patterns and this will bring this out and intensify it. This style is so hot, just look at the sexy sirens that sport it, Jessica Alba and Shakira. They wear this style so very well. Add a simple locket or amulet to make it that much hotter. So try spritzing or spraying a little salt water on already damp hair, scrunch it and then let it air dry. Scrunching it while it is wet will give it volume and randomness. Since most hair has some sort of natural wave, the salt spray will bring it out.

The side part. This previously all male cut is making it big in fashion shows in the city and will be coming to a salon near you very soon. This will be a classic and trendy, high fashion style. It will take a sexy, rock or punk variation, though. L.A. celebrity hairstylist Sally Hershberger helped start this style and called her version of it the Twiggy Punk. It has become so popular that a $500 - $600 price tag usually goes with it. Purportedly Meg Ryan and Kirsten Dunst are big fans of this style. This style will continue to become very popular throughout 2007 and some new variants will probably emerge as the year goes on.

Simplicity and good styling is the key with all four of these hot hairstyles and cuts and there are many variants of each with punk or more conservative touches. According to the many hairstylist experts, these four and their variants will be big for years to come.

Below are reviews of very popular hair style image programs, Hair Styles Cuts And Dos, Stellure and The Hair Style Editor. To see demonstrations of these programs visit the links located at the bottom of this article.

Hair imaging is a great way to try on a hair style before you get it cut. For example, if you are trying to find a wedding hair style or a prom hair style, you can try a style on to see if you like the way you look.

Strengths Extensive Hair Styles Galleries, Ebook on hair advice, 1 year membership, Satisfaction Guaranteed, Very quick- find a new hair style in 5 minutes

Introduction

Advertising and promotional material for this website focuses on uploading a photo and trying on various hair styles. When I first logged in to the members area, the first thing that got my attention was the incredible amounts of hair style photos for very short, short, medium, long and updo hair styles. An immediate sense of relaxation came over me. If I couldn't find a good hair style among the thousands, well then there there just wasn't any hope.

There is also an extra E-book included in the membership that is barely mentioned on the web site. This E-book is great! It is a list of hair care tips and advice from a top hair designer in England. It covers all sorts of topics, such as how to select a hair designer, how to select a new hair style, various styling tips and tricks and what to do when your home hair color didn't turn out so great. This E-book has valuable information that everyone can use. I read every page of it--almost 100 pages total.

Hair Style Galleries

I quickly browsed through all the galleries, looking at all the different hair styles with different hair colors, textures, volume and even highlights. There are no photos of men's hair styles, ethnic or african-american women hair styles. The photos are all optimized to load quickly, so there is no time wasted waiting for photos to load. If you find a photo that you like you can click on it to enlarge it and even print a copy to take to your hair stylist. Printing the updo photos are especially helpful if you are looking for prom, bridal or formal hair styles. There is also the option to save the hair style photos that you really like in your favorites so you can play a slide show of them later.

Hair Style Editor

After browsing all the hair style photos, I move on to the hair style editor part of the website where I am told I can upload a photo of myself and try on some hair styles. The instructions to upload are very straightforward and I upload a photo of myself within minutes (it might have even been seconds). The photo that you upload should be taken against a plain white background and you should probably pull back most of your hair so it doesn't hang in your face.

Once you have uploaded your photo, you enter the hair style editor where there are four tools at your disposal.

Color Palette - allows you to change the color of your chosen style

Mask Pad - allows you to mask the undesired details on your photo prior to trying on different hair styles. For example, you may want to remove long hair that appears in a photo or the background of the photo

Size Tool - allows you to modify the size and proportions of the hair style you select

Trash Tool - allows you to remove the modifications that you just made without having to start over

First, I masked my photo so that only my face shape was showing. By the way, this is a great way to figure out your face shape! The masking takes a little bit of expertise with the mouse. If you are switching categories, for example, going from medium hair styles to long hair styles, you must re-mask your face again. You can change the width of the mask tool to make it a little easier closer to the face. After masking, I went to the category selector which allows you to browse thru and try on hair styles in the five categories, very short, short, medium, long and updo hair styles.

Once you find a hair style you want to try on, you just click on it and drag it to your photo. It automatically loads. Then you can move it around a bit to make it fit right on your head. After you are done adjusting the size and color of the hair style, you can print it or save it as one of your favorites to view later. The photo that you get with the selected hair style is obviously computer-generated, but it does give you a glimpse of what the hair style would look like on you. For example, I have been wanting to add some bangs to my current hair style. When I tried on the hair style with bangs, it didn't look very good at all. I think I have decided to skip the full bangs for now and maybe go with just a few long whispy looking bangs.

Conclusion

Hair Styles Cuts and Dos is an immediate relief for anyone desperately looking for examples of any type of hair style. You can literally find a new hair style in 5 minutes!! The hair style editor is also a great tool to try on various hair styles and get an idea of how they will look on you. The extra E-book is full of tips and advice for hair, tons more than you would find in any magazine.

Typically a lot of women go and buy a bunch of magazines when they want to find a new hair style. If you consider the price of a magazine alone- between 3-5$-- and the fact that you don't always find the style you want in just one magazine, the price for admission at Hair Styles Cuts and Dos - currently $9.99 for a whole year ---is well worth it

Once your photo is there you can go and try on hair styles in the 7 different categories Celebrity, Everyday, Formal/Bridal, Classic, Mens, Alternative and Dreadlocks.

After you upload your photo you go to a section where you determine your face shape. The face shapes are Oval, Round, Oblong, Heart, Square, Diamond and Triangular. The example face shapes are very easy to place on your photo. Determining your face shape is a breeze!! After your face shape is determined you have to line up the eyes in the diagram to your own eyes and adjust the color of the photo as needed. Next you move on to try on different hair styles

The Celebrity category is broken down further into various female, black female, classic female, various male, black male, classic male and celebrity search. There is a large list of celebrity hair styles to choose from and if this is what you are after, The Hair Styler is your place!! Descriptions for the different hair styles are very useful. They include info on how long it will take to style that particular hair style, what hair care products you will need and what face shape and hair texture the style is suited for.

Everyday hairstyles are broken down into texture- with straight, wavy and curly as choices, and length- short, medium and long are choices. Formal/Bridal categories include UpCurls, UpSmooth, DownCurls, and DownSmooth. If you are looking for prom or bridal hair styles, this section will give you quite a few ideas for your special event. The descriptions for the hair styles are very helpful, giving you suggestions on styling, hair care products to use and how long the style will last.

The Classic and Dreadlock categories are not broken down any further and the Mens hairstyles choices are short, long and conservative. The face model for the mens hairstyles is still the women model, but if you upload a mans photo you will get a good idea of how the hair style will look.

In every category there is the option to save or print the hairstyle photo that you like. When you print the hairstyle it prints not only the hair style you like, but also the directions, hair care products to use, what face shape the style is recommended for and the time required to style that particular hair style. This is all very useful info that you can bring to your hair stylist.

Conclusion

The Hair Styler has many features that are helpful for selecting a new hair style. The hairstyles are realistic looking when they are loaded on your photo and the site is constantly updated with new hair fashions. The system is easy to use and no complicated sofware is needed, only an internet connection. Since The Hair Styler goes into face shapes and has many different categories, it may take you a little time to find what you are looking for. But the time is well invested with lots of useful hair style information that will help you with your hair style now and in the future.

Strengths Realistic 3D Models, Can get customized 3D face model, Satisfaction Guaranteed, Monthly Newsletter, Value pricing, Articles on hair styles, Oscar fashion, prom hair fashions

Introduction

Stellure is a relatively new site that offers hair imaging in three dimensions. It differentiates itself from other imaging programs because of the very realistic 3D aspect. Currently they have the first batch of 151 hair styles loaded in the system. They are adding a lifelike color tinting system soon and they have just negotiated a deal that will give them access to large volumes of top quality fashion and classic hairstyles. As more and more hairstyles are added, the membership prices will be going up. The best value at this time is the lifetime membership as it gives you the benefits of the increased catalogue at a much lower price. And, let’s face it, examining your hair style and trying to find new ones is a lifelong activity.

The Hair Style Studio

Joining Stellure is quick, easy and secure. Depending on what type of membership you have selected, you can view hair styles on a stand in model or upload photos of yourself for Stellure to create your own 3D model to view hair styles. For the purposes of this review, we went with the customized 3D model. There are detailed instructions on the site for taking the photographs. You will need a front view and a side view. If you have scanner it is very easy to take a regular photo and scan it in for uploading. If you don’t own a scanner, you could probably go to your local photo processing center and have it done for you.

Before you get started with the hairstyles, you are directed to the face shape wizard to help you determine which one your face fits into. The wizard loads very quickly and asks you several questions about the dimensions of your face. After you have answered everything, the wizard tells you your face shape. This is important information since all of the hairstyles come with descriptions that detail which face shape they are suited for. There is also a link to style advice in the members area to specific style advice for your face shape.

We opted for the Reflect membership where we would get our own customized 3D face model. We had two photographs taken of one of our staff members, one front view and one side view. Once we uploaded the two photos in the Stellure member area, we received an Email in less than 24 hours that the 3D model was ready. (They do state on the website that the 3D models will be finished in 48 hours or less). Once your 3D model is finished, you will get a list of recommended hair styles for your face shape and then you can go to the hair style studio to try them on.

To try on a hair style you simply click on the style and it will show up on your face model. You can set the face model to spin clockwise, counterclockwise or you can click on any of 12 different angles to view the hair style. The hair styles and face models are very realistic looking and the 3D view gives you a very good idea of what the selected hair style will look like from the back. The back view of a hair style is probably the most often ignored view of any hair style and the 3D spinning face model allows you to see the back from a very different perspective.

As you try on different hair styles, you can get styling information by selecting the small i on the menu, you can print the hair style and you can save it in your favourites to view later. When you print a hair style, you will get a front view, back view and a view from each side. The detailed description is included in the printout. Information such as suitable lengths, length descriptions, suitable densities, face shapes, trim period, texture description, styling instructions, maintenance level and styling time. These are all very important factors to consider when considering a new hair style. If a hair style you like requires 30 minutes to style every morning and you do not have that kind of time, then you will probably not be very happy with your results.

There is a search function that will allow you to search by category, face shape, hair density and hair length. Categories include: Latest, Classic, Glamour/Evening, Formal/Bridal, Easy Care and Updo. Face Shapes include Oval, Rectangle, Square, Round, Heart, Pear and Diamond. Hair Density includes Thin, Medium, Thick and Hair Length selections are Short, Medium and Long.

In addition to the hair style studio, you will receive a monthly newsletter that discusses the most current hair style fashion and how to get it. This is great info if you want your hair to be in fashion. And, if you can't find the hair style you are looking for, you can actually request it.

Conclusion

The fact that the technology used to develop the 3D Hair Style Studio at Stellure is patent pending says a lot about the high quality of the program. Most hair imaging programs offer just the front view of the hair style and Stellure offers a 3D look at selected hair styles with either a stand in model or your very own face model. It factors in your face shape information and offers suggestions for selecting a new hair style The results are very realistic and as more and more hair styles are added to the Hair Style Studio, this subscription based program will be the place to go if you want to find a new hair style and see how it will look on you.

Dressing Your Bridesmaids

by Roanna Rose

For a bride, shopping for bridesmaid dresses can be one of the most difficult aspects of wedding planning. How can the bride find a gown for her maids that will display her own taste, look great on every girl and will fit into the financial picture?

There are so many colors and styles of dresses to choose from. The bridesmaids themselves may vary greatly in size and they want a flatteringly gown that makes them feel good. The bride and her bridesmaids may be in their mid-20's or older and want a more sophisticated look in the bridesmaids gown. The bride also has the task of choosing a dress that will look good with each girl's skin tone, hair color and figure.

Choosing the right gown can be a challenge, but it's not impossible. The bride should start the decision process early. It's ideal to actually place the order for the gowns about four months before the wedding. This will allow time for alterations, shopping for shoes and other accessories and leave time to dye the shoes to match the gown. The bride will find it most helpful to shop with the one bridesmaid whose fashion sense she shares. The ultimate decision about the perfect bridesmaid gown will be the bride's.

The first step to choosing a bridesmaid gown is to determine the formality, style and fabric of the wedding gown. The bridesmaid dresses shouldn't overpower or clash with the wedding gown. For today's more simple bridal styles, nice detailing in the maids gowns creates a good look for the group. Back accents like straps, halter tops and simple beading are important for ceremony photography. A quality gown of good fabric and construction is necessary for the active bridesmaids who will be walking, dancing or running errands. Who needs to worry about seams splitting apart or buttons falling off during the wedding?

The next step for most brides is choosing the gown color. This can be done by looking at bridesmaid swatches in the bridal shop. Most manufacturers make bridesmaids dresses in anywhere from a few colors to as many as fifty. Choosing the actual color will narrow the choice of gowns to a more manageable number.

The bride must then consider the size ranges and figure types of her maids. Most bridal parties have an average of two full-figured members. If this is the case, many times it's best to begin choosing a gown style with the larger maids in mind. Some larger girls feel comfortable in spaghetti straps or even strapless gowns, but many would rather have at least a short sleeve or perhaps a shawl. The smaller girls can usually wear any style. A-line styles look good on most everyone. A two-piece style with a longer top covering the hip bone is another good style. Almost 50% of wedding parties will include a pregnant bridesmaid. Extra fabric can be ordered to create a maternity side panel. A few designers are now creating maternity bridesmaids.

A new marketing trend for bridesmaids is the idea of separates. Most manufactures now feature at least some of their styles in separate tops and skirts. Separates offer some flexibility for the maids as they are able to choose different sizes for the top and skirt and can accommodate many different figures types. The bride can also choose the color and manufacturer of the separates while letting the maids have the freedom to create a style they will be comfortable in.

In these sensitive economic times, many gown manufacturers are adjusting their prices to meet everyone's financial needs. Many designers have lowered their prices with no reduction in the quality of the garments. This year's selection of gowns should meet the approval of everyone in the wedding party.

The bride may save time by doing her preliminary shopping online. She can narrow her choices and email styles she likes to her maids. Shopping on the internet may be the most logical choice for some brides when her maids live in different parts of the country. Online ordering entails the maids obtaining their own measurements and alterations which must be done correctly for the best fit. Be sure to order very early to allow extra time for shipping the gowns.

The bridesmaid look is not complete without shoes and accessories. Shoes are available in many styles in fabrics which can be custom dyed to match the gown. Also popular are the clear vinyl shoes in strappy sandals some with changeable colored ribbon straps. One shoe company is now producing 100% silk shoes with leather soles in colorfast fabrics available in 9 styles in 15 colors that can be special ordered for delivery in about one week. Matching wrist or elbow gloves offers a sophisticated look. A simple rhinestone or pearl necklace and earring set will enhance the look of your maids.

With all the choices in bridesmaid gowns available today, every member of the wedding party should be happy with the final results and will spend the wedding day celebrating with the bride and her groom.

Wedding Hair Style Updos; What You Need To Know About The Updo Hair Style

By: Ben Anton

Hair updos provide the perfect style for any occasion. Wedding updos can be elegant, sophisticated, and beautiful. Prom updos can be fun and flirty or classy and gorgeous. Similarly, hair updos can provide a casual look for day to day activities or a business look for work. Or, those looking for a little added sex appeal can experiment with a variety of hair updos to let the sultry side shine.

Half Up/Half Down Hair Updos

One interesting variation of hair updos is the half up/half down style. These modified hair updos involve pinning up part of the hair while allowing the rest of the hair to flow around the shoulders or back. These hair updos can look stunning on a wedding day or they can look sexy for a night on the town.

Women with fine hair sometimes have a difficult time with half up/half down style hair updos because the pins holding it in place have a tendency to slip. Therefore, it is generally best to treat the hair ahead of time with plenty of gel and holding spray and to use many bobby pins.

Creating Half Up/Half Down Hair Updos

Even if the hair is not thin, it is best to refrain from washing the hair for at least 24 hours before creating a half up/half down style. This is because the natural oils in the hair help the parts and knots used in these hair updos stay tight and long lasting. If the hair has been recently washed, it needs to be treated with hair spray or gel to prep it for styling.

After the hair is ready for hair updos, it should be brushed thoroughly and made free of tangles and knots. Then, sections of about 1-2” thickness should be created and straightened with a flat iron. After the hair has been allowed to cool, the tail of a rattail comb should be used to create a side part. This part should extend from the front of the hairline to about 2 inches from the crown of the head.

The hair should then be brushed from the part to the hairline’s opposite side. Then, the new section that has been created should be pulled behind the ear. The stylist should then use her hands and a paddle brush to smooth the hair in order to contain all of the random hairs within the new section.

The hair should then be temporarily clipped behind the ear. One small strand of hair can also be pulled from the new section in order to create an accent piece. This strand should be taken from near the eyebrow and it can be left either straight or slightly curled.

Next, the other side of the hair should be brushed until it is smooth. It should be brushed behind the other ear and also clipped temporarily. Each section can then be unclipped from behind the ears one at a time. The sections should then be separated equally into bottom and top sections, making each section into two new sections. The bottom portion should be pulled into a loose ponytail in order to keep it out of the way for the next step.

Then, one of the top sections should be brushed toward the middle of the back portion of the head and rolled into a fairly flat and horizontal hair roll. It should be pinned securely and flatly against the scalp. It is generally necessary to add a light gel or a setting lotion to each section of the hair at this point. Otherwise, the hair may be too slippery and will not hold well.

The other top section should then also be rolled to the middle and back section of the head. It is important to be sure to slightly overlap the first section that was rolled. The second roll needs to be pinned in a fashion that hides the first roll. The entire area then needs to be sprayed with hairspray in order to keep it in place.

A large decorative clip, a flower, or other hair accessory can then be added. Not only is this attractive, it also helps to hide the overlapping hair rolls. For a little more pizzazz, a bit of glitter gel can also be added to the sides or back.

The sections that were being temporarily held in loose ponytails can then be let out. A curling iron can be used to create a soft bend in the ends of the hair. These will also need to be sprayed in order to hold them in place.

Wedding Day Hair Styles - A Top Ten Checklist

by Mike Jones

The big day is fast approaching, and the energy of the bmoment sweeps you up. But does it carry your hair along too? Use the following checklist to ensure your wedding day hair is everything you dream it will be:

1. Which stylist? Make bookings for consultations with more than one stylist well in advance and decide on the one you feel most comfortable with. You should be able to express your likes and dislikes without feeling awkward.

2. Long hair, shoulder length, or short hair? It is important to consult with your stylist well in advance and make a decision. Long hair obviously gives the stylist much freedom for creativity but a skilled stylist can also work well with medium and short styles. Be sure to choose a length that fits with your personality and style.

3. Have your hair compliment your wedding dress. This can be done by both style and accessories. Smooth, straight hair and pinned up curls are often paired up with smooth satin gowns, whereas a tulle dress often goes well with soft curls.

4. Take into consideration your silhouette. If it's along horizontal lines such as with a wide dress, you'll want to stick with that look for your hair as well. The same goes for a vertical profile.

5. You'll be spending a lot of time at the salon picking out the perfect hairstyle, so it's best to be prepared. Be sure to wash your hair the night before your consultation, and try to have some pictures of styles you'd like to try out.

6. Take a picture of your wedding dress along to your stylist. This will greatly help the process along. Also take your veil with you, and let the stylist know what kind of wedding you are having: formal, informal, evening, daytime. Alternatively, consult with your stylist before deciding on
your headpiece.

7. If you are interested in a new cut or color to your hair, don't wait until right before your wedding. Make the changes during the initial consultation with the stylist, so that you don't have any unpleasant surprises down the road.

8. After you have decided on your style, make sure you walk around with it. Your wedding day will be a long one and you certainly don't want an uncomfortable hair do causing irritation!

9. Your veil length will have some influence on your choice of hairstyle. Normally, the veil is longer than the hair. It is often secured in back swept hair (for up dos) and it's important to make sure the style can hold the veil in place.

10. What accessories are you going to wear? You will already (hopefully!) have your headpiece picked out. Flowers, pins, and beads can be used to add an extra sparkle to your hair, and you can and should coordinate them with the rest of your jewelry.

It may sound like choosing a bridal hair style is a strenuous activity, but the care and preparation is simply to make sure your wedding day is the best it can be.

Following this ten point checklist will ensure your wedding day hair style is a delight, not a disaster!

How to Create Beautiful Wedding Hairstyles

Author: Natalie Aranda

Planning a wedding is not an easy task because it involves many small events and decisions to make concerning the big day, including wedding hairstyles. With the many wedding planners available everywhere, many brides believe there is a magic formula to determine what they should wear such as long hairstyles, short hairstyles, or even hair extensions.

No, there is no such formula, nor right or wrong answers because it is YOUR wedding day, and only you can decide among the many wedding hairstyles, to make this day a big and unforgettable event that it is expected to be. Selecting the perfect hairstyle yourself should be an easy task because nobody better than you knows how good or bad you feel when you look in the mirror.

If you feel, there are too many things on your mind and too little time to accomplish them, get help from professional stylists, avoiding the confusion over what are best, short hairstyles, long hairstyles or a particular hairdo requiring hair treatment, coloration and even the use of hair extensions.

Creating beautiful wedding hairstyles is easy after browsing through the numerous bridal printed magazines or available on the Internet. Who else better than you can knows if you want to wear your hair up, down, curled or straight? Do not worry at all if you have no idea, because if you start planning your hairdo shortly after the engagement announcement, you will have plenty of time to ask your salon for a trial until you are satisfied with the chosen hairstyle.

Long hairstyles are still the favorites of most brides, because they add sophistication and elegance to a wedding ceremony and reception accordingly. However, do not make the mistake of loosing your personal identity by choosing wedding hairstyles that have nothing to do with your own personality.

Go for casual, romantic long hairstyles or practical, modern short styles if you feel that any of them match your own style. The only exception, perhaps, is when you are wearing short hair but you want a fashionable long hairstyle or up-do, although this problem can be resolved if you let you hair grow in plenty of time or opt using hair extensions.

When a wedding is meant to be celebrated with a small number of family members and closest friends, many brides do not worry, as much about their overall attire since there will not be any camera operators, many relatives, circumstantial friends or even strangers to pay attention on details like their hair.

That thought is a big mistake; the wedding day is the bride and groom’s day. Disregard who is attending the event, give yourself the gift of choosing between the wedding hairstyles that make you feel like a queen, whether you chose from long hairstyles, short hairstyles, or fancy hairdos made with hair extensions.

Popular Wedding Hair Styles

by: Marcus Grant

A great hairstyle is the crowning glory to your personality. A wedding hairstyle holds much importance to enhance the overall beauty of the pretty bride. The hairstyle can make a bride look smart and mesmerizing. No wonder, you will be too busy in picking your wedding dress and accessories. But the wedding hair style is as important as your wedding dress. You have a number of hair saloons where you can get special popular wedding hairstyle. These styles have been adorned by so many beautiful brides.

The hair style, off course, depends on the dress you are wearing and shape of your face and hair texture. The hairstyle must be in accordance to the veil or the head piece of the bride. Also, the hair style should be set to make the bride a real princess.

Fulfill your dream of being a royal princess by wearing a sparkling crown on your head. One of the most popular head piece is the crown. It is classy and also easy-to-wear. To wear a crown, you can adhere to a simple hairstyle. You can pin up your hair on the top of the head to make a high bun. Also you can part your front hair and curl the back hair. After curling the back hair, pin them up high or let them down. After this, fix the crown and veil with the same pins. This will give you a more formal look.

If your wedding is a casual affair you can let all your hair down. Just pull them back and fix the veil with a beautiful wreath. Wreath is a half ring made up of flowers.

Flowers are an inseparable part of wedding hair styles. The beautiful flowers enhance the feminine looks of the innocent bride. You can choose from a variety of flowers. The most popular wedding hair styles incorporate the flowers like orchids and roses as they are available in so many attractive colors.

For a sophisticated look, you can pull all your hair back to make a low bun just above your neck. Flowers can be added individually around the bun or in the form of a ring. The most popular buns are the ones made after rolling your hair. You can tie your hair in to a low ponytail and roll over the rest of hair into rolls. A bun with 6 rolls is the hottest among the brides these days. After bun is complete, you can add certain accessories like flowers, hair brooch or simply some beads in the new hair style.

Las Vegas wedding hair style is also in vogue among the young generation brides. It is a funky hair style. In this wedding hair style the hair are pined loosely to make a bun on top of your head. The front hairs are let loose. The hair locks from both the sides of forehead and allowed to fall down on the face of the bride. Are you ready to embellish your crowning glory by now?

Wedding Dress & Hairstyle: Get The Right Look

Author: Emily Tanner

The wedding dress and wedding hairstyle you choose are the most important decisions you will ever make, that is of course, after you have chosen the right groom!

When it comes to your wedding gown, there is such a vast range of styles, shapes and colour. Naturally, the wedding hairstyle has to come second to the dress, although the 2 must work together synonymously.

The best advice to take when choosing your wedding dress is to go to a shop with an open mind. It is all very well to have an idea of what you would like, but it's a known fact that 75% of brides come home with an unexpected choice of dress. It will be such a fun day out, and probably the only chance in your life you will get to 'play' with so many different types of wedding gown.

Choosing your bridal gown will be the most expensive shopping trip of your life! Most wedding dress specialists are only too helpful and will be quite happy for you to try on most of the shop, though you may have to pre-book an appointment at some places. If you are in a minority of places where the staff resemble those on Julia Robert's trip to Rodeo Drive in Pretty Woman then simply go elsewhere. No-one should hurry you into a decision about a wedding gown and no-one should make you feel like a nuisance.

Trying on wedding dresses of every style is essential; you really don't know what will suit you until you try it on. Experiment with bodice and skirt, all-in-one empire line, bias cut, strapless, spaghetti straps, off the shoulder, short sleeves, long sleeves, organza, silk, tulle, with a petticoat and without a petticoat. It would also be a good idea to take a few hair clips with you so that you can experiment with different wedding hairstyles as you are experimenting with different wedding dresses.

Before you go on your big shopping expedition, it would be a good idea to look through a range of bridal magazines. Look at different colours, styles, shapes, fabrics and designers so that you have a few ideas about what you like when you are trying on. It would also be a good idea to look at wedding hairstyles. Don't forget though, that bridal models usually look fantastic in everything they wear and all hairstyles suit them.

You would be better to look at a model with similar colourings and with a similar face shape to yourself. You should also look at certain combinations of wedding gowns and wedding hairstyles - chances are that particular dress styles lend themselves to particular hairstyles. For example, strapless gowns are often complemented by up-do's, whereas tall, slim brides wearing plain silk dresses look better with short, cropped hairstyles or loads of long unkempt tousled curls!

Once at a wedding gown shop, give your assistant some idea of what sort of dress you have in mind. Try your dream dress on and see how it makes you feel. But, don't be put off if an assistant suggests something completely different. Remember, they have kitted out hundreds of brides and probably have a good idea of what will suit you just by looking at you and talking to you. Go on, be daring! It is true what they say - "You will just know when you try on the right one!"

They may also have some good ideas about wedding hairstyles too, so don't be afraid to ask them.

Lastly, before choosing your dream wedding gown and a breathtaking wedding hairstyle to go with it, remember to choose something that suits the way you are now. Many brides plan to be 2 sizes smaller, have more defined arms, a longer neck or have longer hair by the big day, but you should always choose a wedding dress to suit how you are today. Look upon any weight loss or toning up as an added bonus - or the icing on the cake!

Here Comes the Bride, Wearing Victoria Wedding Dress

by Michael Louis

Thanks to Queen Victoria, she has set the trend for that glowing white outfit during wedding rites. Before, a bride that will be married to her groom only wears her best dress, or if she is from a wealthy clan, she wears a fancy dress. In addition, weddings before the Victorian times are colorful with brides wearing gowns of varying colors such as purple, yellow, and blue.

Queen Victoria decided to wear a wedding gown made of white satin, trimmed with white lace and a lace veil, held in place by an orange-blossom wreath. It is in contrast with the traditional silver wedding dress that royals within her family circle are wearing during their wedding ceremonies.

She thought her wedding rites to Prince Albert is simple, and yet what she made is more of a fashion statement and trend as well. The choice of white color as an appropriate wedding dress motif is a great coincidence to its meaning which is virginity, purity of heart, and the innocence of childhood.

And now, many brides prefer wearing Victorian wedding dress for their big event mainly because of its elegant yet simple design. What you will find fascinating about Victorian wedding dress is that it is form fitting (usually takes the shape of the bride's body); off the shoulder bodice, and full train and skirt which is still a popular style that is worn by many brides nowadays.

Another noticeable feature of a Victorian wedding dress is that it gives the feeling of royalty to the one who wears it, which is characterized by the lovely lace as well as bountiful beadwork of rhinestones and crystals. This wedding dress is also created from the finest materials available and designed to have an extravagant adornment, excellent choice of crystals, delicate yet best beadwork, and meticulous detailing of each of the part of the dress. It makes the bride unleash her beauty and making her feel confident and ravishing while making that walk on the church aisle.

Victorian wedding dresses are available on all body sizes, whether you are size 40 or size 2. Moreover, there are also Victorian gown designs that will match your age as well. Whether you are in your early twenties or in your late forties, there is a Victorian wedding dress that will suit your requirement.

Furthermore, you will feel more glamorous wearing Victorian wedding dress by the right choice of bridal accessories such as diamonds glittering in your hair and a diamond necklace gracing your neck. It will give a subtle effect to your overall look. Add to it a wedding tiara made of different glimmering crystals for enhanced bridal beauty.

The trend is now set at white. You may also take other colors for your bridal gown, but certainly, the trend set by Queen Victoria during her wedding will be the most popular and widely-accepted fashion statement when it comes to wedding dress. Wearing a Victorian wedding dress will not only make you glamorous in front of your groom and your guests, but will also make you feel how it is to be like a queen.

Enjoy your wedding day wearing that Victorian-inspired dress!

Celebrity Hairstyles and Wedding Hairstyle Trends

by Natalie Aranda

Every year, celebrities set the trends of fashions and hairstyles. Everywhere you looked, you could see celebrities with many different and fashionable hairstyles from short and sweet to long and elegant, from curly or wavy to up-styles. No matter what the style these celebrities were wearing, they made a fashion statement that everyone else followed after. If a next-door girl won't wear celebrity hairstyle to work or to school, the weddings is a perfect time for her to try celebrity hairstyles, and feel like a true celebrity.

Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez were two of the most popular celebrities that people were talking about when it comes to hair styles. Each of these celebrities had a hairstyle that no one else could touch and until recently, many of us only dreamed we could have a Jennifer Aniston Sedu hairstyle or a Jennifer Lopez Sedu hairstyle.

Creating beautiful wedding hairstyles is easy after browsing through the numerous bridal printed magazines or available on the Internet. Searching "hairstyles 2006" in popular search engines, you'll have a plenty of ideas.

Long hairstyles are still the favorites of most brides, because they add sophistication and elegance to a wedding ceremony and reception accordingly. Go for casual, romantic long hairstyles or practical, modern short styles if you feel that any of them match your own style. If you are wearing short hair but you want a fashionable long hairstyle or up-do, you can let you hair grow in plenty of time or opt using hair extensions.

If you decide to wear a Jennifer Aniston sedu hairstyle or a Jennifer Lopez sedu hairstyle for your wedding or your friends' wedding, I'll reveal the secrets here. The secret behind their gorgeous hairstyle is of course partly due to the sedu flat iron, not to mention what they do prior to using this wonderful sedu flat iron. They both must use a conditioning shampoo and then dry well and again add more conditioning to assist in straightening their hair and making it very soft and flexible. The next step in the Jennifer Aniston sedu hairstyle is to add equal parts of shaping gel and calming serum massaged into the hair. Using a big round hairbrush and your blow dryer, you will be simulating how Jennifer Lopez sedu hairstyle is created. The next thing these two Celebrities have done is the flattening with the sedu flat iron.

Will the 2006 hairstyles give us the same great looks with celebrity hairstyles or is there a change a coming? The new in fashion for celebrity hairstyles, or what designers are saying, is that short hair is coming back in style. The bob is one of the hairstyles that is making its way to the big screen and all around Hollywood. This celebrity hairstyle is easy to manage, looks great, and may become one of the top 2006 hairstyles. We will have to wait and see if the Jennifer Aniston sedu hairstyle or the Jennifer Lopez sedu hairstyle will be one of the prominent celebrity hairstyles in 2006 or if someone else with a bob style or a curly style makes the headlines. Whatever wedding hairstyles you choose, they shouldn't lose your personal identity.

Wedding Hair And Bridal Makeup Secrets

WEDDING HAIR STYLES- THE MOVIE

Wedding Hair in Santa Monica|90405|Marina Del Rey|Malibu|Los Angeles|California. Is your wedding starting to make you feel like a Hollywood Movie Producer? Even the selection of your wedding hair styles for you and the bridal party is feeling like a movie set in Fantasyland. You are already overwhelmed. You need help with your wedding hair.

Relax; I'm here to ease your stress and to take a big load off of your shoulders. I've helped brides and their bridal parties in my salon for so long I am in permanent wedding hair and bridal makeup mode.

I'm going to tell you how to insure that you have alluring, envied bridal hair so it is complimented by, but not overshadowed, by the wedding hair accessories and bridal hair styles of the bridesmaids.

Finally I will give you some wedding hair secret inside information about which other salons wished I kept my mouth shut.

WEDDING HAIR STYLES- WHAT'S THE FIRST STEP?

The first step is wedding hair and bridal makeup plans should ideally be formulated at least 3-4 months before the event. Have your hair stylist show you some pictures of their work on brides or of special event hair styles. Bring the wedding hair pictures displaying the styles you like the best.

Pictures of wedding hair styles are one of the best ways to avoid bridal hair disasters. Pictures will help eliminate misunderstandings between you and your hair stylist.

Be practical. Try a style that is comfortable for dancing and moving around. Consider the wedding location¡¯s climate (humid, dry, wet, cold, too hot). Make a selection from wedding hair styles that will match with the style of your dress. Keep your desired bridal hair styles in mind when picking out accessories.

WEDDING HAIR ACCESSORIES AND BRIDAL MAKE UP Select simple Wedding Hair Accessories that will not overpower your wedding hair like hair ornaments and headpieces. If you plan to wear a more elaborate headpiece, your wedding hair should be simple. Bridal Tiaras can be very flattering.

Very simple jewelry will do for the bridesmaids. Stick with earrings, bracelets, or rings, but avoid necklaces. The entire bridal party should have one theme for the wedding hair styles and bridal make-up. However the bridal party could all have different hair lengths, color and texture of hair.

Your bridal make-up should emphasize the eyes, lips, and skin- tone as these parts should be camera friendly at all times. Remember the bride has the leading role in this production. The bridesmaids are the supporting players who are there to make the star look good.

TYPES OF WEDDING HAIR

It is not a bad idea to have an up-do, if your dress covers all the way to the neck. Don¡¯t be afraid of a short hair style especially if you are petite. Short hair can be one of the more sexy wedding hair types.

It is usually better to not to request a classic hair do with a contemporary wedding dress. If you have your heart set on one of the classic styles of wedding hair, then it should be a casual one.

For a modern or classic Victorian style, one of the beach wedding hair styles is better when it is a basic chignon or down hair style with simple, loose curls. Soft curls give you a very romantic look. This goes for the bridesmaids as well. It is better that they all follow the same pattern.

The bridal party should wear the same color and style of dress as well as a similar hairstyle. For example, either all the bridesmaids should wear flowers in their hair or no one should at all.

WEDDING HAIR TRYOUT SERVICE

The best way to check the look of all the wedding hair styles in your bridal party is to have your entire bridal party make a visit to a salon for a wedding hair tryout.

The best salons are confident you will be satisfied with their work. Therefore they typically offer a tremendous discount for the tryout. The staff will work hard so that you will book your wedding party with them. When you do book, expect to be presented with a wedding hair contract.

WEDDING HAIR CONTRACTS

Make sure to read your contract carefully before signing. Read every word and make sure to ask questions if you don¡¯t understand something. If you are uncomfortable with the wording, it is fair to ask that the contract be changed.

Don¡¯t just gloss over the details of the contract. It should include important information such as the date of your wedding, the types of wedding hair and bridal make up services to be rendered.

Many salons will ask for a deposit to hold the appointment in advance. Some contracts will state that deposits are nonrefundable.

If your wedding hair contract has such a clause determine if there is a grace period. Pay a percentage of the service and not the whole price. Also make payment with a credit card. Should there be a problem or dispute, you will have a better chance of getting your money back.

HERE COMES THE BRIDE!

You've found your husband. You are congratulated.

In this article I gave you great tips that will help perfect your wedding hair styles and bridal make up. I¡¯ve also given you some inside information that other salon owners don¡¯t want you to know regarding services and contracts.

You ARE the Executive Producer and Star of your wedding. You've got plenty to do. Wedding Hair Styles

by Kevin Stith
The wedding day is a special day in the lives of all women where you fret over the perfect dress, make up and hair style for the occasion. Here are some pointers that have to be kept in mind while choosing the perfect hairstyle for the special occasion.

Most brides make the mistake of loosing their personal identity when making hair and fashion choices for the wedding day. The most important thing to remember is to make sure you like what you choose for the wedding day. The first thing you have to do is discuss your wedding hairstyle with your stylist, perhaps some months prior to the big day. This is because some brides may need to grow their hair or to work towards a new hair color to achieve their perfect wedding hair style. However, just because most of the bridal magazines picture brides with flowing tresses, it doesn't mean you have to emulate this. If you have short hair, you needn't grow your hair for the wedding if you are not up to it. Remember, the bride with a flair for the dramatic with a strong personality carries off pretty much anything.

The most important thing to remember when choosing your wedding hair style is the line, density and texture of your gown. Make the dress match the line of the hair. For example, a bunch of curls piled on top of the head complements a long and slim gown. And if you are wearing a flowing tulle gown, then flowing hair with soft curls is just right. After choosing the right wedding hairs style, try the hairstyle out well in advance to the wedding day. Perhaps the hairstyle will not look as good as you had imagined; you'll then be glad you had found out this before the big day! Then try walking around with this hairstyle for several hours to make sure it's comfortable as you wouldn't want to have hair pins hurting you and ruining your wedding day!

Hair Styles provides detailed information on hair styles, black hair styles, layered hair styles, long hair styles and more. Hair Styles is affliated with Plus Size Models.

New Updo Hairstyles for You

by Stuart Simpson

Do you need a new hairstyle? If you have long hair, it is easy to get into the ponytail rut. Just put it up and go. But long hair offers a lot of hairstyle options if you are going to the prom, having senior pictures or bridal pictures made, going to a wedding, or just needing an updo for a formal party. You do need to know some basics of hair care before getting started with long hairstyles though. Knowing the best way to shampoo, comb, brush, and dry your hair and the tools to use can give you a head start in your hairstyle.

First, shampooing long hair is best done standing up, preferably in the shower. This helps reduce matting and tangling. You should choose a shampoo that fits your hair's needs. For instance, chemically treated or damaged hair should be treated with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Only apply shampoo to the scalp and then rub in circular motions to clean the scalp thoroughly. When you rinse, work the shampoo through the ends of your hair and this will also help with less tangles. Your goal is to clean your scalp, so it is not necessary to rub shampoo into the ends of your hair. Use several towels to blot your hair dry. Never rub wet hair because this is a major cause of matting and tangling.

Second, combing and brushing long hair can be difficult if you do not use the proper tools and technique. To make combing wet hair easier, start with a leave-in conditioner. Using a large tooth bone comb, start at the ends and work up a little, about an inch at a time, getting the tangles out. If you are working with dry hair, a large paddle brush works best. Again always start at the bottom and slowly work up to the scalp. When blow drying long hair, use your fingers to comb through the hair from scalp to ends while drying.

Third, you need a few hair tools on hand to make the perfect hairdo. They include a large comb, square paddle brush, bobby pins, hairpins, and elastic bands. The best elastic bands to use are covered with some type of material. You might not have known there is a difference in bobby pins and hairpins, but using them correctly will help your hairstyle. Bobby pins touch in the middle and are designed to hold the weight of your hair. Hairpins are made to hold hair in place that has already been secured with bobby pins. You can make curls and then spread them and hold them in place with hairpins.

Wedding Hairstyle Updos; What You Need To Know About The Updo Hair Style

Author: Ben Anton

Wedding Hairstyles: A 7 Step Plan For Perfect Hair

by Melissa Burton

Much preparation has to go into the bride’s dress, and so should her crowning glory, the hair. Follow this simple guide on how to plan for the perfect wedding hairstyle.

Weeks before your wedding day choose a hairdresser that will make your do at the wedding. Find a hairdresser that is recommended by someone you know and trust; someone that they had a good experience with.

1. Establish a good rapport with the hairdresser. You should be comfortable in discussing with him or her on the style and look you want. Some hairdressers insist on some do that they dreamed would be made for them. Be firm in telling him or her what you want and don’t want.

2. Discuss in length the shape of your face in relation to the hairstyle that he or she proposes. Try the following styles:

-Up do’s signify elegance and this is what most brides want.

-Tired of the bun? Achieve the same polished look with braids instead. From cornrows to French twists, there are numerous interesting ways to set your hair in place.

-Letting your hair down, especially of the mid-length can emanate romance. Flip the edges out for a little retro look.

-Short hair can be spruced up with color highlights or shiny curls.

3. Ask to schedule a practice session to mock-up the intended hair do for your wedding day. You may need to pay extra for this mock-up session, but it’s worth the buck to ensure you look lovely during your wedding.

4. Part of the mock-up is for you to carry the hairstyle. Check side and rear views for how the hairstyle looks and make sure it is made to your liking. You are the center of attention on the wedding day, so you should be beautiful 360 degrees!

5. Walk around the salon with your hairstyle. Try to bob your head abit or do other head movements that you think will happen on wedding day. Make sure your hairstyle withstands all the head activity and that you and your scalp will be comfortable for hours.

6. Now, traditionally, they say it is bad luck to try on your wedding dress before the wedding day. But you need to be sure that your hairstyle matches the gown. Don’t worry; you can still approximate the look by using other dresses. Look for a dress that has the same collar style as your wedding dress. Then put on something that approximates the same lines of your wedding gown. View yourself on the mirror, and imagine yourself in white… does the hairstyle match?

7. On the eve of the wedding, get a head massage, on second thought, get a whole body massage! This relaxes your body, opens your pores and freshens up your skin.

The Countdown To Finding A Great Prom Hairstyle

Author: Cindy Marcus

Every year, around February to March, some young teen girls find themselves in a frenzy as one of the biggest events of their high school years approaches. This is especially true for many senior high school girls about to graduate as it is literally the last dance. Those girls who haven't picked out a dress, shoes, and hairstyle since early fall are now in a mad rush to find the best prom looks available. For those young women looking for great prom hairstyles, there are many sources for finding the hot look for Spring, the upcoming Summer look, or even retro prom hairstyles. This article should help young girls gather information quickly about great prom hairstyles.

When it comes to a prom hairstyles, the main idea is a formal hairstyle or a retro one that fits a gala like the prom or other big social event. That is why girls who have not selected a hairstyle should definitely watch the Academy Awards in March. Major celebrities attending the even will definitely be sporting some of the hottest and elegant hairstyles that might just work with the rest of your prom attire. A very quick way to grab some prom hairstyle ideas.

The next best source for finding that great prom hairstyle is in the many magazines that probably came out late January or early February with prom special issues. These magazines are designed especially for prom goers including models sporting many different looks on many types of dresses. These magazines provide a variety of looks which should help you chose a prom hairstyle. Popular magazines that are very useful in providing different hairstyles with different dresses and different facial shapes include YM, Teen, and Seventeen. All three of these magazines provide an abundance of hairstyles and other useful prom tips and are great sources to keep for younger siblings or friends.

For webbies who love using the internet, there are almost boundless resources out there from websites to guides all about prom hairstyles. A popular site I found that was actually useful was promspot.com which had some useful tips on prom hairstyles. Another quick way to find prom hairstyles, is to use popular search engine image search features for the term 'prom hairstyles'. This is a very useful resource as it pulls many hairstyle images of the web from various sources. These sources include everything from magazine images to photos from prom goers who have posted their picture on various websites. All these images provide a great amount of possible prom hairstyles. Other useful keywords for image search include 'formal hairstyles', 'wedding hairstyles', 'teen prom', and a lot more. This feature has become one of the more useful ways at finding prom hairstyles.

Last Minute Search Tips
Many girls go with the normal elegant style dresses and hairstyles. Don't be afraid to go with the retro styles. There are many classic retro style dresses and hairstyles that are great for proms and will make for a memorable evening. I am not talking way back, but there are some retro hairstyles that can me modernized a little to provide a very beautiful, unique look.

Adding Accessories to Prom Hairstyles
I recommend not going with any jewelry type accessories for hairstyles unless necessary. There are many hairstyles that are great without any accessories, and then there are a few updos and other styles that look great with tiaras, clips, and other little add-ons that add to the overall look. There are many hair accessory stores with great little hair add-ons so look around.

How to Choose the Prom Hairstyles Suitable for Yourselves

By Alice Calandra

According to the philosophy of painting, rich and green leaves would set off a beautiful and prominent flower. Similarly, a beautiful prom hairstyle should be conformed to your face in order to bulge out your own characteristics and attractiveness. In designing the prom hairstyle, it is essential to highlight the beautiful parts of your face but to cover those weaknesses.

In choosing your most suitable prom hairstyle, you should consider a lot of factors including the shape of your face, head, nose, eyes and their ratios of each other. The facial shape would be the most influential factors among all. Different hairstyles would suit for different facial shapes. Basically, there are four types of common facial shapes to consider with, i.e. the oval shape, the triangular shape, the round shape and the rectangular shape.

The Oval Facial Shape

Most people think that an oval facial shape gives a friendly feeling and it suits for many different hairstyles. Nevertheless, it would give a false impression that an oval facial shape would be lack of personal characteristics. Therefore, it is especially important for an oval facial shape to choose a more distinctive hairstyle to extrude her unique character. Besides, a more frequent changed hairstyle is suggested since it could help to project her attributes.

With distinctive and appealing facial features and contour, a simple prom hairstyle should be chosen in order to transpire her unique temperament. Hair length to the jaw would be the most suitable choice. Besides, a badminton type prom hairstyle would also be suitable since it could draw people attention to her appealing facial features.
On the other hand, for those with less distinctive facial features, they should choose a middle to long hairstyle, and the hair should not be set backward.

The Triangular Facial Shape

Triangular facial shape could be classified into heart shape and pear shape. For a heart facial shape, it should be aware that the prom hairstyle should not be set to exaggerate a weak and crummy impression. A smoothie-curved hair is recommended for both long and short hair which could help to project a more able character. The following prom hairstyle designs are suitable for most heart facial shape,

a. An imbalance prom hairstyle could help to smooth out the weakness of the pointed jaw. It could divert people attention to other facial features. Besides, with attractive earrings and headdress, it gives people a vivid and fresh affection.

b. Hair length at two sides should be set to the cheek. It should be moderately enriched and set backward so as to beef up the impression of a wider jaw. Besides, it is better to set a smoothly curved bang which could neutralize the weak and tense feelings due to the pointed jaw.

c. A too short hair or too thin hair at two sides would exacerbate the weakness of the pointed jaw which should be avoided.

For a pear facial shape, the setting could be based on dividing the face into four equal parts, and the prom hairstyle should be set to make up an overall oval facial shape impression.

The Round Facial Shape

A round facial shape projects an affection of vivid and naïve. However, it would also give a false impression of immaturity. It is suggested to set up the hair at the front part to make up a more oval shape impression. For instant, an inner curved bang or thickened bang could well serve this purpose. The following prom hairstyles design are suggested for most round facial shape,

a. Short and cute hairstyles could further protrude the vivid image. However, the hair at two sides should not be too thick. A “S” shaped curved bang obliquely through the forehead could lessen the immature impression. Besides, the thickness and the size of the bang should be designed based on the size, shape and distant of the eyes.

b. An imbalance prom hairstyle could lessen the round shape impression which is recommended in most cases.

c. The hair at two sides should be set to the jaw and attached to the face. It is suggested to match with an imbalance bang or smoothie curved bang which gives a soft and tender temperament. Besides, the hair after the ears should be thickened and lengthened to balance the round facial shape.

The Rectangular Facial Shape

In general, many of the top models are in rectangular facial shape. In fact, a rectangular facial shape delivers a unique character of cool and determination. The following prom hairstyle designs are recommended,

a. A long hair with smoothie curve could neutralize the firm impression of rectangular facial shape. Hair at two sides should be set to the chin with curve and layer impression. It should be aware that giving a natural feel is very important, otherwise, the hair set would be more easy to frame the face for rectangular facial shape.

b. Imbalance prom hairstyles could also neutralize the inflexible feeling. It could match with suitable earrings and headdress to accentuate own unique character and individuality.

c. A too short and too straight hair would magnify the firm impression. It is only suitable for those with appealing facial features and contour. Otherwise, a layered inner curved bang would give a more feminine affection.

Perfect Wedding Hairstyle - Medusa And A Glass Of Bubbly

Author: Daisy May

Hairstyles and headdresses perfectly matched are a complimentary duo for any bride on her wedding day. What you have to remember when deciding on your hairstyle is what may suit others may not necessarily be the right style for you. Practice makes perfect so try out different hairstyles in the mirror just to get a mirror image of your self. This will give a little insight as to whether you clip your hair up for the wedding or let it lie on the shoulder. A mental picture of your wedding gown is good to have at the back of your mind when choosing the hairstyle or better still if you can have it on at the time will make all the difference in helping you with your decision.

If the wedding dress is an off the shoulder design then consider letting the tresses flow but if the gowns collar is high necked like Victorian times then consider styling the hair up.

The shape of your face is another major factor taken into consideration when picking a hairstyle. If your present style is a look alike of Joan of arc do not despair the longer look can be achieved with hair extensions. Having the perfect hairstyle is very important and why not, as this is a very essential part of the brides whole entity that will add the finishing touches in making her feel just they way she should on a day as special as this.

Sort out an early appointment to talk to with a hairdresser. Find a stylist that holds a good reputation among your friends and family. Make sure after the consultation you are comfortable with your choice of clipper, go through every fine detail of the hairstyle that you would like. He/she can or may give their professional advice on your chosen style but if you are not happy with what they propose then stand your ground.

At the end of the day this is your wedding so the choice is yours. Elegant hairstyles that are quite stunning are the French twist or braids creatively enhanced by woven pearls.
To help emanate romance let the hair down. Short hair can be highlighted by adding decorative little menageries (rosebuds feathers hair jewels) Extensions can help fulfil your dream of having the perfect hairstyle.

Magazine browsing is a must for ideas if you are undecided on the hairstyle that will compliment your wedding dress or face features. Make arrangements with the hairdresser to have a practice run it may cost but it will be worthwhile to claim the style you crave. Another good idea is to bring along your headpiece e.g. tiara, cap for the hairdresser to fit at the same time.

Make sure the hairstyle is compatible with all dance moves especially the ones after a few glasses of bubbly if not then a guaranteed medusa look

All At The Bottom wedding hair style

What do you usually look like?
I would suggest that you try to look like
that on your wedding day. If your hair is long and swept up on your wedding
day, and never again after that, you won't look like you and, as you said,
the pictures last forever.

I met two women when we were on our honeymoon,
who had their hair cut in Jamaica because they had grown it out for their
wedding and wanted to return to their 'normal' hair style as soon as
possible after the wedding. It seems a bit odd to me.

Beautiful southern wedding hair style that fits both a formal and casual wedding.
Easy hair style to create, perfect for people with straight hair!
Complete look with a tiara and/ or a veil.
