Wedding Hairstyles - Elegance And Beauty by Vicki Churchill

A bride will take time to consider many wedding hairstyles to make sure she has the right style for her and one that will wow her guests at the wedding. Not so long ago a bride with short hair would not be able to consider Spanish updos or cascade of curls wedding hairstyles as they would simply be impossible to create with a limited amount of hair.

These days hairstylists are able to create the impossible and literally design whatever wedding hairstyles you could possibly imagine. With the use of hair extensions and dyes they can totally transform your look.

Elegance is normally what a bride is looking to be and with wedding hairstyles such as the Angel or elegant updo a bride can achieve this and when a woman has a hair style they love there is nothing better to show off her natural beauty and radiance on the big day.

Alternatively the bride to be may wish to choose wedding hairstyles that are simple, easy to manage and will look as good after eight hours of vows, photos, speeches and receptions as they did when she first walked down the aisle.

Empress wedding hairstyles are particularly popular. This creation consists of tight curls and looks stunning with any colour hair. The look is of a Greek goddess or Roman Empress and can be beautifully and easily enhanced by wearing a tiara. Any bride with this wedding hairstyle will feel confident as well as looking stunning.

Whatever wedding hairstyles you have in mind you should always bear in mind the overall theme of your wedding. You may well fall in love with a particular style but it would be much better if the style was in keeping with the rest of the wedding theme. That said, you must always ensure you choose a hairstyle which makes you feel special and comfortable throughout the whole day.

Before your big day it is vital that you have a trial run with the style you have chosen. An even better idea would be to try out a few wedding hairstyles beforehand as what may look good in a photograph may not always suit you.

Make sure you use a hairdresser that has been highly recommended by someone you know and whose judgement you trust. Better still use a hairdresser you have used before as they will be able to work with your hair better and be able to give solid advice on the best wedding hairstyles to have.

You will also need to bear in mind when selecting wedding hairstyles how they will look if it is your intention is to wear any accessories such as a tiara or veil as they may drastically alter the look or just be impossible to have with the particular style you ultimately select.

Wedding Hairstyles - Finding the Perfect Look for Your Big Day

by Samuel Abdullah

Finding the absolute perfect hairstyle for your wedding takes a bit of thought and some planning in order to ensure you'll be happy with your look on the big day.

First, it's best to consider the overall theme of your wedding when deciding upon your hairstyle. Is it going to be a formal type of event or a more casual affair? What type of jewelry will you be wearing, and what style dress are you planning on wearing? If you're wearing your hair up in some way, dangly or elaborate earrings are appropriate, but if your hair is down, you may want to consider a smaller, simpler type of earring.

One of the most popular types of hairstyles for brides today is the upsweep, or up-do as it's sometimes called. The upsweep may actually be done in several different ways, depending on the length of the hair and the look you're trying to achieve. From the simple ponytail to intricate braids to the French twist, an upsweep can be either stunningly elegant or completely simple.

You'll also want to keep in mind what type of headpiece you'll be wearing on your wedding day when deciding on your hairstyle. A tiara looks fabulous with hair that's pulled back in some way, and if you'll be wearing a long veil, or even a crown made of flowers, perhaps you could leave your hair down and flowing.

If your hair is on the shorter side, you'll want to decide if you'd like to have curls or a straighter, simpler do, or even if you'd like to try hair extensions for this all important special occasion.

Many hair stylists and salons offer free consultations to brides-to-be so that they can talk to the stylist, and let them know exactly what they're really looking for or expecting from their wedding hairstyle before the big day actually arrives. Some brides choose to have a "trial run" and have their hair as well as their bridesmaids hair done the week before the wedding to be sure they chose the most complementary styles.

When browsing through the hairstyle and bridal magazines, pay attention to the hairdos on models who have faces that are shaped like yours. Also, look for styles on brides that are wearing dresses made similar to the one you'll be wearing. Sometimes, a style look a certain way on one person, but may not be that good of a look for another.

Also, if you're having a professional stylist do your hair, do let them know exactly what type of dress and jewelry you'll be wearing.

If you're planning on dying your hair, getting highlights or changing the color in any way, it's always a good idea to do this several weeks before the big day. Any drastic haircuts or changes in style should be done a few months before the wedding to give yourself a chance to get used to the "new you" and to make any necessary adjustments.
